Teacher Aide: April 2026
- Permanent position, up to 26 hours per week, during term time
- Preferred start date is Tuesday, 2nd June 2026
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher Aide to join our supportive Learning Support Team. If you are committed to assisting high-needs students to reach their full potential and have a deep passion for working with teenagers, we want to hear from you.
This is a permanent position of up to 26 hours a week during term time (8:45 am–3:15 pm).
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one support to students with high and complex needs.
- Providing support for students who are on individualised learning or behaviour plans.
- Working unobtrusively in classrooms to assist teachers.
- Working with individual students and small groups, delivering programmes.
- Serving as an exam assistant for students who have special assessment conditions.
Skills and Attributes:
- Compassion, empathy, and patience.
- An ability to self-manage and problem-solve when needed.
- The successful applicant will be required to accept, recognise and preserve the special character of the school and be committed to the school’s mission and values.
- Preference will be given to applicants who have previous experience working with children/adolescents with high/complex needs and an understanding of how to support neurodivergent students.
