Are unable to come to school

  

Ask a Parent/Caregiver to either phone the school 486 1132, press option one and leave a message or email  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by 8.30am
     

Arrive late to school

   Report to the School Office as soon as you arrive at school with a note, signed by Parent/Caregiver explaining why you are late
     
Have been absent   Bring a note from Parent/Caregiver to your Atawhai Group Teacher when you return
     
Become ill while at school   Report to the Sick Bay – Parent/Caregiver is not allowed to collect you from school until you have reported to the Sickbay
     
Are looking for lost property   Report to the School Office at interval or lunchtime
     
Need to use your cell phone at school   Mobile phones must remain switched off in class unless the classroom teacher gives specific permission for phones to be used. You may use your mobile phone at break times
     
Need to use a telephone in an emergency   Go to the School Office where you ask to use the phone 
     
Want to see the Counsellor (Mrs Mawdsley)   Go to the Counsellor’s Office where you will find a request for appointment slip to the right of the office door, fill this out and put it under the office door. Mrs Mawdsley will then get in touch with you
     
Have an appointment during school time   Bring a signed note from home and have it signed by a Senior Leader. Take it to the School Office to sign out when you leave
     
Have a request for leave during school term   A Parent/Caregiver should write a letter to the Principal explaining the reason and asking permission
     
Damage school property   Report to your teacher or the School Office
     
Change address or phone number   Inform the School Office  immediately or complete the form on the homepage of this website

Want to know what is happening   Listen to the daily notices, read the notice boards and check notices on the school website
     
Do not have the correct uniform   Report to your Dean or the School Office. The correct uniform will be provided if possible or alternatively a Carmel College uniform pass will be issued which the student must carry. 
     
Have an item go missing/stolen   Report to School Office at lunchtime or interval
     
Want Careers information   See Mrs Bruce in the Careers Office or consult your Dean

You need to put a notice in the Daily Notices   Write the notice clearly on a piece of paper and take it to the Teacher in Charge of the related activity or your Atawhai Group Teacher and ask for it to be put in the Daily Notices
     
You lose your ID card   Give your name at the School Office and a new card will be processed and given to your Atawhai Group Teacher – the cost will be charged to your student account
     
Need to top up my printing account   Go to the School office at lunchtime only where you can add money to your printing account – there is a minimum $2 charge for this top up.
