On Wednesday, Year 12 students participated in the annual Career Intensive Day before they started their work experience programme on Thursday and Friday. This day consisted of a panel of ex-Carmel girls who talked about where they are now (in relation to university, travelling and jobs) as well as getting an insight into different degrees offered by a wide range of universities through workshops chosen by the students. They also had two guest speakers; Sarah Kelly and Monique Lawry, who talked to them about their careers as part of Air New Zealand and Event Management. This was an extremely informative day that allowed the Year 12 students to understand more about what career they want to pursue and how they want to achieve it.
