Kiara Theron and Sky McKee Wright, Year 13, were announced as winners in an essay competition at the University of Canterbury. This competition is open to all secondary students in NZ. The Law School at UoC gave the topics to choose from. One was the Cannabis Referendum and both Kiara and Sky McKee Wright chose this topic to research and write about. They have scooped the pool and won both first and second place. Kiara came first and Sky came second across all of New Zealand.
