Year 10 market day was held Friday November 1. The weather, apart from a bit of wind, was highly cooperative. Students were given real life experience on how to run a business with activities ranging from doing market research through to writing a business plan. They had to make the product and then promote and sell it, all within given time frames. There were some very innovative products sold and some groups made a profit of over $150. In keeping with the Mercy Values of Carmel, 10% of profits were set aside for charity donations……this year it’s going to Starship.
