On Tuesday 23 June a number of Carmel parents, students and staff attended the Powhiri for our former Pouāwhina Māori Whaea, Tina Peters. Tina is also an old girl of Carmel and she has been a passionate advocate for students and developing an understanding of Tikanga and Te Reo at Carmel over the past 6 years. We wish Tina well in her new role as Head of Maori at Takapuna Grammar and welcome our new Pouāwhina Māori Horowaitai Roberts-Tuahine who has started at Carmel this term.
