We will shortly be calling for applications for Student Librarians for 2021.
Student lLbrarians are selected and trained from Year 10. They then take over duties from our senior students when they go on study leave.
Time spent can be counted towards your Service hours.
Student Librarian desired attributes:
- Reliable
- Team player
- Keen reader
- Library user
- Welcoming and polite
Duties, one day per week at lunchtime, include issues, returns, shelving, recommendations and supervision of library users.
The library team is led by two Head Librarians – this year Charlotte Regtien and Danielle Meek. Over the strange times we find ourselves in, they have encouraged student participation through their online presence. In between lockdowns we had the opportunity to come together for a shared lunch.
So, Year 10s give some thought to joining this great team and keep an eye out for the application form later this term.
