Congratulations to our Year 9 Readers’ Cup team, Maia O’Callaghan, Josephine Deady, Xin Ang Lau, Syntyche Khoo and reserve Adianna Beck. The team achieved 3rd place in NZ.
After winning the Auckland – West and North competition our team have been training for the National competition by reading the selected books. Schools came from across the country to Dilworth Senior School to contest the Readers’ Cup, now in its 5th year.
This year the competition was won by Cashmere High School (Christchurch), second Wellington East and third, our very own Carmel College team. The regional competition starts with 60-70 schools so this is quite an achievement.
