The Year 7/8 Speech Competition was finally held recently after being delayed by the pandemic lockdown. The competition was stiff with six speakers whittled down from the original 20 representing the 10 classes. The judges had a tough time making a decision but settled on the top three speakers.
First place – Maisey Lendrum, Year 8, with ‘What you don’t know about anxiety, but should’. (centre). Second place – Alex Cooper-Howarth (Year 8), with ‘The secret to the law of attraction’ (right). Third place – Meila Oosterdijk with ‘Why our generation will be the most successful’.
