Two of our House Leaders came to see me yesterday.  They had been visiting Atawhai classes and trying to get students to contribute to the collection for the Coin Trail on St Patrick’s Day next week.

All funds raised from the Coin Trail go to Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand, the New Zealand Catholic Bishops’ agency for justice, peace and development. Caritas promotes integral human development so that people in the worst off and most disadvantaged communities are free to flourish and live in peace and dignity.

The House Leaders reported that many students said they were finding it a challenge to have either coins or cash, partly due to COVID and partly as more students are using debit cards.

Their suggestion was to enable online donations. So if you, or your daughter, would like to make a contribution in this way here are the details. (Coins are still being collected)

Please include your daughter’s Atawhai class in your details so that the money can be attributed to her Atawhai and House.
