Carmel College is offering places for Year 7 and 8 students in Code Club Aotearoa.
Code Club is a nationwide network of volunteer led after school coding clubs for kiwi kids (www.codeclub.nz). It is free to attend and held at Carmel College starting Tuesday Week 7 of Term 1, 16th March 2021 and it will run every Tuesday of Term 1 , 2 and half of Term 3.
Volunteers from Vodafone will help run the club and they will teach you how to program computer games, use Micro:bits, mini spheros, python coding and make websites. They will be supported by Mrs Bullock, our Digital Technologies teacher at Carmel College and some senior Digital students.
The club will run from 3:30pm to 4:30 pm in (H208) upstairs in the Harkins block (come straight after Period 6.) You would need to commit to the whole term.

Get your parents to email Mrs Bullock with their permission saying they will pick you up by 4:30 or, if you are allowed, travel home on the public bus.
