This week all Year 9 students participated in a Retreat Day. The theme for the retreat was ‘Made in the Image of God’. The girls focused on Imago Dei which means “ Image of God” and Missio Dei which means “Mission of God”. The girls got the opportunity to work in their House Groups, with activities around celebrating diversity, affirming others using drama/plays, prayer meditation and a creative painting workshop around the theme of an image of God which could be a sunset, ocean or your image of God. Each girl got a laminated card that said: “ I am a unique gift, created in the image and likeness of God” so that they would never forget that they are all images of God. The key message of the day was understanding that each person is created in a unique special image of God.
