Adapting to the challenges of a 2021 lockdown in Auckland, our Carmel College team came 5th in the country, representing Auckland-North. The competition teams read the same 6 books and then answered in depth questions about these titles.

The two Auckland teams competed online from home as they could not get together in person online at school. The challenges faced were like so many events planned this year. Following postponements and lockdown our team performed admirably.
Keen Year 8 readers should keep a look out for the competition in 2022.
