Congratulations to Kiera Sinton who has been admitted into the High Performance Sport NZ “Pathway to Podium” programme, in her chosen sport of Sailing. This programme targets athletes and their coaches who are 8 to 10 years away from a podium performance at the highest level in their sport. This is run in partnership between Sport New Zealand, High Performance Sport New Zealand and regional talent hubs around the country. About 350 “pre-elite” athletes from across the country are selected from a number of sports with approximately 18 sailors in the programme.
