Carmel Orchestra works with the APO

Over the last two weekends the Carmel Orchestra has had the opportunity to work with members of the APO orchestra (Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra).

Every year the Carmel Orchestra performs at the KBB Music Festival and as part of their preparation, take part in weekend workshops. Each section of the orchestra is assigned an APO musician who workshops them through their pieces, focusing on technique, ensemble awareness and musicality. After a short lunch break the orchestra has a full rehearsal putting together what they have learned.

Later this Term, guest APO conductors will be coming in to take the Orchestra for their regular Friday morning rehearsals.
