Carmel College’s four large eucalyptus trees down by the boat ramp sustained significant storm damage in February and, after an extensive expert investigation, it has been concluded that they are hazardous and need to be removed. For several months now, a large area around the trees has been roped off as a safety precaution while we obtained the necessary consent from Auckland City Council for their removal.
These consents have now been granted and the removal work will begin in the week commencing 20 June – weather permitting.
