Through the Passionate Enhanced Learning programme at Carmel, I had a wonderful opportunity to participate in the NZPMC (New Zealand Physics and Mathematics Competition) during the holidays.

After making it into the final round, I was invited to Auckland University to take the final round exam. The day started with a 90 minute exam after which we were able to talk to University club representatives.  We also tuned into a seminar from the Head of Departments at the University, learning coaches and University club members. The day ended with a prizegiving where top prizes were given out and we were all presented with certificates and badges.

It was such a great opportunity for me to meet new students with similar interests and to learn more about physics and maths at Auckland University.
