Charlotte Cullum was the winner of this year’s Milford Rotary Club Intermediate Speech Competition where 13 schools fielded two of their top speakers.

Carmel sent Charlotte (Year 8) whose speech was titled ‘The Power of the Teenage Mindset’ and Saoirse O’Farrell (Year 7) who urged the audience to ‘Stop Marine Pollution’.  Both girls had previously been joint winners of the Year 7&8 Carmel Speech Competition.

The calibre of the entries was outstanding and both Charlotte and Saoirse were selected to speak at the final, with Charlotte taking out 1st place.
