During activity week, the students had a fun time learning about Human, Capital and Natural Resources from the Commerce department.
This year, as part of the Astronomy activities in Year 9, students were asked to design a marble lander so that it consistently landed on a target. This was to simulate the issues that scientists at NASA must overcome when they are planning to land items and spacecraft on the moon for the new Artemis mission that is currently underway. Using a zipline, paper cup, paperclips and a marble they had to modify their paper cup to drop the marble. There were some very creative designs and some actually worked!
