Year 8 overall winners

This year’s Year 8 debating season was a great learning opportunity!

It was my first year debating, and I had so many questions, but thanks to my coach and teammates, I learned so much about different writing styles and enhanced my vocabulary.  We worked so well as a team!  We couldn’t have done it without the ongoing support of our fantastic coach, Kriya D’Sa.  She always kept us on track and organised meetings for the group.  I really enjoyed the debates at lunchtime and how the adjudicators gave us feedback and things to work on next time.

Overall, it was a great collaborative learning experience, and I am so glad I had the opportunity to be a part of Debating Club 2023!
