Rowing AON Junior Championships 

Congratulations to the rowers who competed over the weekend at the AON Junior Rowing Regatta at Lake Karapiro.

• B Final U18 Novice Double – 3rd Place: Georgia Thorpe and Lily Dwyer
• A Final U18 Novice coxed Four – 4th Place
• A Final U18 Novice coxed Quad – 7th Place

Tag Football Central North-West Tournament

Last week, two Carmel teams took part in the Senior Central North-West Tag Football Tournament.  This event also marks the end of an era for the Year 13 students who established the Tag programme at Carmel six years ago.

A special thank you goes to the Lawson whanau, who have been behind this sport at Carmel over the past six years, always willing to lend a hand whenever necessary.

2024 Halberg Awards

Thank you to the Halberg Foundation for giving five of our senior students (Clara Bae, Kate Bell-Booth, Lily McGivern, Anouk O’Malley-Cain and Grace Chitty), the opportunity to attend and serve at the recent 61st ISPS Handa Halberg Awards –  “They were brilliant, unbelievably polite, worked extremely hard on the night and were unbelievably dedicated to reaching all their tables during the raffle – I was very impressed.” – Rachael Batters at Halberg

Auckland Athletics Club Championships 

Congratulations to India Burke (Year 9) who ran the 800M last Friday at this event and won the race with a PB of 2:25:88.
