On 20 May, a group of five Year 12&13 students participated in the Senior Ethics Olympiad.
Leading up to the competition, we were given eight ethical scenarios ranging from the consequences of AI to the responsibilities of medical professionals. During the day, we participated in three heats in which we discussed the different cases with other schools.
Through the Ethics Olympiad, we learnt about the different ethical theories and have developed our critical thinking abilities. While our team did not place in the top three, we did receive an honourable mention. We all found this an insightful and memorable experience to deepen our knowledge of societal issues that are shaping our future.
