This year, we have introduced a new initiative to the Carmel College calendar – Book Week! During this week we are encouraging students to embrace their literary passions and get involved in fun book-based activities. We will be holding an author panel where students can ask questions, a bookmark-making activity, and book-themed sports activities, in conjunction with the Sports Council.
On Friday 14 June, we ask all students to dress up as their favourite book characters, so that they have the option to get involved in the Book Week parade, led by Year 7 & 8 students. Parents are welcome to come and watch. Book-themed stalls will be open on the top courts at lunch, so students can bring cash to buy food and books, and play games.
