YRE stands for Young Reporters for the Environment – a Litter Less Programme at Carmel College.

Year 7&8 students have a unique opportunity to join this programme as part of a global network of over 495,000 young people from 43 countries.

As young journalists,  the students investigate local environmental issues related to litter, waste and pollution, and explore practical, achievable solutions.

Their reports are showcased in writing, film, or photography, allowing their voices to be heard on a bigger platform.  View HERE
