Activity Week in Digital Technologies
During Activity Week, Year 7 students came to the computer lab and learnt how computers work using binary numbers. They then used their own hand (5 bits) to represent binary numbers and letters, including their name.
Year 8 students learnt to programme a micro:bit. The first task was to create a beating heart, Christmas is all about love after all! Some students used the wifi feature of the micro:bit and created a mini chat between devices. Well done girls!
Activity Week in Business Studies
Year 9 students had a productive and enjoyable Activity Week in Business Studies. They explored natural, capital and human resources through a hands-on project of creating a garment from newspaper. They also learned about the concept of resource scarcity and experienced the barter system by exchanging goods. Overall, it was an engaging and valuable learning experience.
