Last week we celebrated Bullying-Free NZ Week culminating in a fun-filled Pink Shirt Day on Friday.
In Aotearoa, Pink Shirt Day works to create schools, workplaces, communities and whānau where everyone feels safe, valued and respected. Through various amazing activities and stalls, Carmel raised $2000 to go towards the Mental Health Foundation who oversee the development of free resources and workshops that celebrate diversity, spread kindness and prevent bullying in Aotearoa.
Our individual Houses also created T-shirts for their Deans to wear on the day, all sporting designs and words that promoted kindness and inclusion. It was a great reminder that we are all responsible for making sure that each other feels safe and included at school.
