Year 12 student, Isla Kohlberger, won a scholarship to attend a 2 week cultural exchange in China.  She visited Shanghai and Beijing during the Term 1 holiday break.  As a member of the YMCA Northshore service group, Raise Up, Isla was encouraged to apply for this opportunity along with 13 other students.  At Carmel College, Isla has been studying Chinese for over 6 years.  This was a great opportunity for her to speak Chinese, especially while shopping.  This amazing trip was funded by many Chinese organisations including China Southern Airlines.
