Carmel College’s annual Coin Trail will be held on Friday, 17 March. Leading up to the day the school will be accepting donations for Caritas NZ and Red Cross NZ.
Caritas is New Zealand’s Catholic agency for justice, peace and development. This year the money raised for Caritas will go towards supporting recent Earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.
Money raised for Red Cross NZ will go towards the NZ Disaster fund supporting those affected by the recent Cyclone Gabrielle flooding.
We ask all families within our school community to donate small amounts of cash which will be collected in your daughter’s Atawhai classes or alternatively a donation via the Carmel shop on the school website. Your donation will be processed under your daughter’s House group to collect House points for the annual House cup competition. No matter how small the contribution, we assure you it makes a difference.
Fundraising ends on St Patrick’s day with a green-themed mufti day and lunchtime stalls. We encourage everyone to get involved on the day as it is a highlight of the school year for many students.
