Tena koutou katoa. Nga mihi atawhai nui.
We’re still back onsite. Whew!! I still see very happy students in their classes and around the grounds, enjoying the collaborative nature of onsite learning. They have all settled really well into the normal, school day routines. And, they are keeping their masks on!!
We are still adapting how we are able to do the usual end of year rituals. For our Year 13, we offered the students the option of being onsite or participating online for their annual retreat. With our prize giving, we aren’t able to have large indoor gatherings so we are putting together a virtual prize giving for each year level. For the Year 11 and Year 12 students, there will be an online video for each year level, with all the prize winners’ names and list of awards. For Years 7-10, there is also an online video for each year level and this will be viewed as a class on the last day of school and then, this will be posted online as well.
These digital prize givings will be accessible for everyone in the whānau, anywhere in the world, so you can share this with all those who are important to you.
