This year is the 100th anniversary since Nga Whaea Atawhai o Aotearoa / Sisters of Mercy came to the Shakespeare Homestead.

To celebrate the occasion, guests were invited to afternoon tea, a liturgy to rededicate the chapel and a special blessing of the new altar and lectern crafted by Ian Langley.

A new sculpture was installed in the garden to commemorate the occasion.
