Carmel College had the pleasure of having Subash Chandar K, also known as Infinityplusone, visit our school on 4 September. Infinityplusone is a renowned maths teacher who contributes to the wider math education community by making learning more accessible and comprehensive with his NCEA walk-throughs and live teachings on the media-sharing platform, YouTube. He created an unforgettable experience for our students by bringing his enthusiasm and sharing his expertise.
The visit began with an interactive and insightful talk from our guest, which was attended by a hall full of eager senior maths students. Infinityplusone’s visit also included a hands-on teaching session for the Complex Numbers standard with our Level 3 Calculus class during Period 2. Furthermore, a calculator signing during morning tea time was received with much excitement from the Carmel students and staff. It was a great opportunity for senior students to reinvigorate their confidence for the upcoming mocks and exams, and we are grateful to Infinityplusone for creating such a fantastic experience for our students.
