On Thursday 23 May our Level 3 Geography class set off on a two day trip to Rotorua. The goal of the trip was to learn about the tourism development in Rotorua.
Across the two days we learnt much valuable information on how tourism has become such a key factor in Rotorua’s development. We were educated through museum talks, a guided tour around the Whakarewarewa village, explored the Buried Village Museum and visited local tourism based businesses such as the Canopy Tours and Skyline. As well as gaining crucial information for our end of year external, it was a fun and enjoyable experience. We were lucky to make many fond memories with our amazing Geography class. A big thank you to Mr Bassett and Miss Beesley for organising everything and taking the time to make sure it was a geotastic trip!
