Kia ora,
Our Carmel in-house MAPS is going ahead on Wednesday, 16 March from 3.20-5.00 pm.
We’d love it if your daughters could join us on the outdoor bleachers after school for a quick afternoon tea, and then we’ll head to the school turf to play our activities planned for the evening. This Term we’ll be playing multisport and a new Māori game being run by Matua – we plan to run a Pasifika game at our next MAPS.
This is a great opportunity for the Māori and Pasifika girls to bond with each other in a fun and competitive environment, and a way for all the year groups to mingle. MAPS helps highlight the safe space we have here at Carmel and our new culture-based games will help the girls embrace both their own and other cultures.
Fa’afetai lava,
Emjay Dickson, Tu Wahine & Moira Macdonald, Pasifika Representative
