This week was meant to be Maori Language Week, and next week; Culture Week. These events highlight the culture within Carmel that flourishes and vibrantly lives within the Carmel community. In light of the current situation, we cannot be at school together to celebrate, however, it does not make what these weeks recognise any less important! Recognising an intrinsic part of so many of our identities contributes to our personal growth and the appreciation of those around us. Because of this, we are still running online activities during Atawhai time and, hopefully, we will be able to join together when we get back to school to properly celebrate together in our annual Culture Festival.
