On Tuesday 11 June the Carmel Senior Choir and the combined Carmel and Rosmini Choir, ‘Carmini’, performed at The Big Sing. This is the New Zealand Secondary Schools Choral festival and takes place all over the country. This wonderful choral festival was an amazing opportunity for both choirs to perform in the magnificent Auckland town hall and even sing with the town hall organ. We have been preparing for the Big Sing since Term 1 with regular rehearsals after school. Thank you to our conductor, Robert Howell, our accompanist Zheng Tang and our Music teacher and Head of Music, Mr Child. We received positive feedback from the adjudicator that will help us move forward for next year. We are extremely grateful for all those parents, friends and family who came to support us at the Gala Night Concert. We can’t wait for the Big Sing in 2020.
