Five Carmel girls competed in the recent Pasifika Aotearoa Cup 7s Festival.  This is the biggest one day festival celebrating womens’ rugby in NZ (and globally).  Teams from all over NZ come to play. Two teams competed from the Silverdale Seahawks club in the U18 and U15 grades.

Sesilia Vagana, Kaitlin Esera and Emillierose Ah Kuoi in the U18 team.  Ishana Nui and Julita Naititi-Seumanutafa were in the U15 team who did a great job and made it through to the semi-finals.

All the girls also competed the previous weekend at the Sevens tournament out at Helensville with the U15s winning all their games.
