On 19 June our fantastic team from Carmel – Elliott Hou, Kiera Longerstaey, Hayley Wong, Natalia Gonzales and Natalie-Rose Widjaja-Saputra – won the North-West Regional competition for the Reader’s Cup.

This is a national competition for Year 9 students to read 6 books and then compete with other schools in a quiz competition.  Quiz questions can be complex and specific so teams really need to have read and memorised many details of the books.

Carmel has a long history of excelling at the Reader’s Cup and now our girls go onto the national competition at Dilworth School in late September.
