Last weekend, we volunteered at the Vinnies Op Shop in Glenfield where we priced items, organised clothing and cleaned up areas of the shop. This helped us to gain service hours giving back to our community as well as gain experience and learn new skills. We enjoyed our time volunteering at Vinnies Op Shop very much and we look forward to continuing to volunteer each weekend. We loved being surrounded in such a friendly working environment where we were provided with a lot of support from other volunteers. We worked with a group of up to 15 volunteers who helped guide us around the shop and helped to show us what jobs needed doing. We found out about this service opportunity through the Young Vinnies Club here at Carmel College.
