Last Sunday, a group of Year 9 and 10 students, Leilani Moce, Amy O’Neill, Hanna Bosley, Amelia Smith, Syntyche Khoo and Salina Xiao offered their time and effort to the Immune Deficiencies Foundation of New Zealand (IDFNZ) fun run in Mt Albert as part of the service programme. The race was a fundraiser for the IDFNZ who also have a Kids Foundation that supports families who are affected by immune deficiencies. They support the families in any way possible and have improved the lives of so many. At the races, the skill levels ranged from professional marathon runners to people trying something new. There was a lot of support for this wonderful foundation. We marshalled the race track and met a lot of new people, it was a great day out and in the end, we were all proud to have been involved in the wider community. We felt this opportunity was a great way to spread awareness and raise money for this foundation. If you want to get involved or learn more about IDFNZ you can through their website: IDFNZ
