Six Carmel students were in the U17s Girls Division Football team for Glenfield Rovers this year. They won their division – scored 103 in total goals and only conceded 7 goals. Congratulations to Olivia Smith, Lydia Mathison, Anna Sluyter, Hannah Halpin, Pyper Lodewyks and Charli Blackman.
Basketball
Good Luck to our Senior Basketball team who are off to compete at the New Zealand Secondary Schools Nationals in Palmerston North and our Development Football team who are off to compete in the Champions Youth Cup in the Gold Coast next week.
Water Polo
Congratulations to Bene Catlin and Robyn Spark who have just been named in the New Zealand Secondary Schools Girls Water Polo team to compete against Australia in December in a three-match series.
Have a Go Volleyball
This is aimed at any students from Year 7-10 who would like to give Volleyball a go in a fun environment and learn some new skills. Every Monday for 4 weeks in Term 4 from 3.30-4.30 pm. You will have 15-25 mins of coaching and then play games.
New Sports Jumper
We have a new Sports jumper rolling out this term! This jumper will replace the current Black and Maroon fleece next year as the outer wear for sport in line with all our sports teams changing to the blue uniform in 2020.
These are a female fit jumper, with a warm fleece lining in standard sizing Youth 12, Youth 14, Small, Medium, Large and XL, XXL. They are slightly on the larger size of a standard fit.
The cost of the jumper will also include last name going on the back – no first names or nicknames will be approved.
The cost of the jumper is $75 – these can only be purchased through the school and payment must be made by Friday 25th October. Please make payment to 123119 0051538 00 ref Hoodie /surname.
