Subject & Skills Workshops – Every Thursday

We are excited to offer Subject & Skills Workshops every Thursday afternoon, from 3.30-4.30pm in the School Library.  These workshops are available for Year 7 to 11 students and are designed to help students strengthen their understanding, get ahead and challenge themselves.

📚 What’s Covered?

✔️ Each week, we focus on a different subject, rotating between Maths, Science and English & Humanities.

✔️ Sessions will build on classwork and include extension activities for those looking for an extra challenge.

No sign-up needed—students can simply show up and join in!  Whether your daughter needs extra support or wants to push themselves further, this is a great opportunity to receive help and improve in a friendly, collaborative environment.

In the workshops, specialised student tutors will provide support with current in-class work or offer extension activities for those seeking additional challenges.  Tutors are also available to assist with homework and will have prepared resources for students who don’t have specific tasks to work on.  A supervising teacher will be present during each session.

Please note that the subjects covered each week are subject to change, and a schedule of subjects will be available for reference next term.  This will help students plan accordingly and make the most of the workshops.

This initiative is organized by the Heads of Academic, Yoana and Angela.  If you have any questions or would like more information, please don’t hesitate to contact Angela at 19010@carmel.school.nz.
