The Young Vinnies groups from Carmel and Rosmini recently got together for the start of the Travelling Pots project. The afternoon involved the preparing of ingredients, cooking of meals and packaging it all in containers so that they can be distributed to individuals and families who seek food assistance from the Vinnies food bank in Newton. We made an incredible 99 packed meals. This was a great experience as we were able to make a difference in the community, especially for many families who don’t have the means to cook a healthy meal.

It was amazing being able to connect with other students to truly give back to our community. We look forward to doing this again and to continue to put our Mercy values into action.
