Last week, our Atawhai time activities centred around unpacking Carmel’s core Mercy value for 2022, Tika – Justice.

Our Tuakana leaders organised a fun tuakana-teina activity that followed on from our whole school Atawhai exploration of this year’s core Mercy value, and highlighted the importance of Tika.  Each House worked together outside to spell the word Tika from our tuakana and teina. It started off for all Houses a little bit chaotically but tuakana and teina rose to the challenge. Each House showed strong planning, creative thinking and cooperative skills by working together to organise themselves into some amazing word creations.
