Vacancy – Junior A Waterpolo Coach

Carmel College on Auckland’s North Shore is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic coach for our Junior A Waterpolo Team.  Carmel College currently manages a busy Waterpolo programme for approximately 50 girls at various levels of ability and ages.

The appointee directly contributes to all areas of coaching, including trials, skill development and culture.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Director of Sport and Sports Coordinator to ensure a professional and consistent approach to the Carmel College programmes and services, supporting the philosophy of athlete development for all ages, from beginners to elite competitors.  This position also has a responsibility for mentoring and educating young Waterpolo players.

You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly organised and have a proven ability to work both independently and within a team environment.  The successful applicant will be motivated, enthusiastic, reliable and enjoy working as part of a team.

Proven track record in working with other teams would be an advantage, as would qualifications in sports coaching/management.

If you genuinely love the sport of Waterpolo, and can commit to our Junior team for the duration of the season including the Auckland League, North Islands Championships and the North Harbour league from April to December, please apply. There is a small honorarium for the right candidate.
