As a cohort, we were incredibly blessed with a night away at Marsden Bay Christian Camp for our final retreat. After going through a rotation of meditation, self-defence, validation, mindfulness, community and creative workshops, we were also able to spend quality time together singing around the camp fire to commemorate one of our last occasions together. Most importantly, Year 13 retreat imparted on us the values of Catherine McAuley – reinforced by the Mercy Values which have guided us at Carmel over our 7 years here and strengthened our bond as Mercy women excitedly looking towards their futures.
