An egg: symbolising new life.
Bitter herbs: symbolising the bitter times in Egypt
Charoset: symbolising the mortar the Jewish slaves used.
Flat bread: for the bread that didn’t have time to rise.
Greens dipped in salt water: for the sweat and tears of the Jews.
Wine: for the happiness of being led out of Egypt.
