Two Year 8 students have won 3rd place in the Young Reporters for the Environment National Competition.
Defne Dalgic (pictured right) and Ece Dalgic (left) entered their campaign video ‘The Waste Warriors: Young Reporters Fighting Against Food Waste‘ in the national competition organised by Keep New Zealand Beautiful. Their work was entered in the 11 to 14 year-old age group and was done as part of the Passionate Enhanced Learning (PEL) programme for eco-reporting in Year 7/8.
Congratulations to the girls! Their awards and prizes are on their way from the Keep New Zealand Beautiful campaign headquarters.
